Tips & FAQ's
-
Is the SilenTrap™ a bug zapper?
No. The SilenTrap™ quietly captures common flying insects
on a disposable glue board within the unit - without zapping.

-
Why is the SilenTrap™ a better alternative than a typical zapper?
The SilenTrap™ eliminates the annoying buzz and unhygienic mess that
typical zappers create. When bugs hit the electrical grids of zappers and
then explode, insect particles pollute the air in your home and fall onto
surrounding surfaces. Trapping insects on the adhesive board is a safe,
clean and non-toxic alternative.

When should the glue board be replaced?

-
How long will the bulb last?
For optimal performance, change the bulb every 3 months.

-
Is the glue toxic or poisonous?
No. All Catchmaster® glue is non-toxic and pesticide free.

-
How do I remove the glue from skin or surfaces?
Use vegetable oil or mineral spirits to remove glue.

-
What if I have trouble turning the bulb on?
The front grille must be completely closed and in place in order for the bulb to turn on. Secure the front grille, then
plug in the unit to turn on.
